There are definately some great camping spots in Southern Utah. In fact if you are ever taking a Southern Utah vacation you could spend your entire vacation camping around at some of these areas, after all it is much cheaper than staying at a hotel.
1. Fish Lake
Fish Lake is a perfect spot to go camping and fishing at. This Utah Lake is a great place to go if you are looking to get nice fishing memories. It is also surrounded by the Fish Lake National Forests that has many great hiking trails and includes the world’s largest living organism, which is basically a group of tress that are all fused together.
There is just a single word of warning I should give you this lake is best suited for R.Vs. camping area. If you decide to bring a tent you better come in the middle of the summer or you will most likely freeze.
2. Any National Park
Every one of the Utah National Parks are well worth the visit and by camping out at them you can see all there is to see. Each park has a camping section and they are all relatively inexpensive.
3. Green River
The Green River State Park is a fantastic place to camp out because they have some nice fishing and it also contains a golf course so there is a lot to do just on the camp ground. It is also very close to 3 major national parks, Arches, Capitol Reef, and Canyonlands.
The wide selection of things to do definitely makes this a great spot to plan a vacation at.
4. Snow Canyon
Snow canyon is another nice place to stay at; this park is usually not very crowded and contains some beautiful lava flow caves. It is also next to the other two National Parks, Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon.
There are hundreds of areas were you can camp at in Utah. These are just a few nice camping areas which you might want to check out.
