I Know Travel Well

Travel notes, tips and advice

There are many great things to do in Utah. The state is a fantastic outdoor state that has something for everyone to do. This is a short list which I have created of fun things to see and do in the state.

1. National Parks

There are 5 enormous Utah National Parks, each shows off some of the beautiful Utah scenery. From the Arches National Park which contains some amazing rock formations to Zion National Park which shows off Utah’s forests, the state has a wide variety of different landscapes.

2. State Parks

In addition to those parks there are also many smaller state parks that are all extremely fun to stay at. One state park, Sand Hollow can be a great place to take the family for the day, because there are a number of small rocks in the middle of the reservoir that you acn easily swim to.

3. Fishing

Utah has some nice fishing holes to go to. Visiting the state’s fishing lakes can lead to an exciting time and a great experience. And considering that there are a ton of awesome lakes in this place you are going to have a lot of chocies.

4. Dinosaur Bones

Utah also has a lot of interesting dinosaur bones. There are a number of places such as Johnsons Farm which you simply have to check out as they can be pretty interesting and give us a look into the past.

5. Best Friends

If you have ever seen the show “Dog Town” then you know about the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. They adopt pets who do not have a home and give them food and shelter until they can find a home for the animals. They where one of the first groups to arrive to help out after Hurricane Katrina and they also rehabilitated many of Michel Vicks dogs when they where taken away from him. It is a great place to go if you love animals or want to adopt a pet yourself.

Visiting the sanctuary will help to support the park as it relies on donations to stay up and running.
